Jolenta Greenberg
Jolenta Greenberg is a comedian, author, and culture critic who specializes in taking unserious things seriously and exploring what we can learn from the messier side of pop culture. She co-hosted the popular podcast By the Book, a reality-style investigation into the legitimacy of the self-help industry; and co-wrote the show’s companion book, How to Be Fine, published by HarperCollins.
Other podcasting work includes creating projects for SiriusXM, Audible, Stitcher, and more. Her thoughts on pop culture have been regularly featured on NPR and the BBC, and her comedic e-book, Modern Harpies: Why Loving the Real Housewives Means You’re Cultured AF, was an Amazon best seller. As a performer, she’s won a Moth StorySLAM, held a comedic residency at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn, and her stand-up and storytelling has been featured all over NYC.
Hot Mess-Terpiece Theatre
Hot Mess-Terpiece Theatre is a show for high-brow conversations about low-brow entertainment (aka reality TV). Each week, comedian & culture critic Jolenta Greenberg serves as your reality TV dramaturg — deep diving into tropes, dissecting iconic moments, and chatting with notable guests about why their favorite reality scenes are true artistic masterpieces. Here, we believe that loving reality TV means you’re cultured AF. Come for the drama, stay for the hilarious (and occasionally enlightening) insights.
