Mary Houlihan is a writer and comedian based in Brooklyn & Los Angeles. She wrote on The Reductress Hour pilot starring Abby Elliott for Comedy Central and Rachel Dratch’s Late Night Snack on TruTV.
She has written numerous humor pieces for The New Yorker Shouts and Reductress, and wrote an essay about her Irish family in McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern Issue #56.
She was a writer and performer at SeriouslyTV, and has appeared as a comedic actor on Broad City, Difficult People, The Chris Gethard Show, Danny’s House, and is a principal voice actor on the upcoming Unlimited Squirrels from children’s book author Mo Willems.
She wrote and animated “Learn to Paint with Mary Houlihan” for Comedy Central, and wrote and animated music videos for Ziwe. She authored and distributed Mary Houlihan’s Li’l Zine, a monthly comedy magazine with over 40 issues sent to over 100 subscribers.
