“Did you worry about stabbing your father in his sleep after watching the film MINORITY REPORT starring Tom Cruise? Ever been afraid to impregnate your own mother with bathtub water?? Hi, I’m Olivia Levine, and I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). If you answered yes to those questions, you may too! Wanna know more dirty deets?? Come check out UNSTUCK, a comedic solo show about the intersection of my OCD and my queerness.”

Unstuck, written and performed by Olivia Levine and directed by Molly Rose Heller, is a comedic solo show about the intersection of Olivia’s obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and her sexuality, specifically her queerness. Olivia unpacks the unexpected and often misunderstood realities of OCD, a mental health condition characterized by persistent intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions).

While OCD is often associated with behaviors like hand washing and counting, Olivia sheds light on other unpredictable ways in which it can manifest, like the fear of accidentally causing violent harm to a parent or the concern that using a particular word might result in the death of a best friend. In Unstuck, Olivia uses standup and storytelling to show that OCD can take countless forms, and that it’s often as hilarious as it is harrowing.

In just about an hour, Olivia takes her audience on a deeply funny and intimate journey through her experiences with intrusive thoughts and compulsions, navigating relationships, queerness, and self-acceptance, all while finding humor in the everyday complexities of living with OCD.

The show has a running time of 60 minutes and is recommended for 18+ audiences.

More praise for UNSTUCK:

“The word ‘brave’ doesn’t really do this show justice - nor does ‘funny.’ Olivia can both eviscerate you and make you laugh so hard your face hurts in the span of a sentence.”

- ROSALINE ELBAY, Actor (The Diplomat, Ramy)

“I was in no way forced or otherwise coerced to say without reservation that Olivia Levine’s show is a unique blend of pathos and comedy that mines personal trauma, pain, and healing into a delicious comedy burrito and I want seconds! Also, I use lots of food metaphors.”

-JORDAN CARLOS, Comedian/Actor (Broad City, Black Mirror)

“Levine is a mesmerising performer: charming, sharp-witted and perfectly pitched to find the tricky balance between dark humour and gravitas.”

-Fest Magazine

“It’s absolutely unflinching, and told with real expertise. More elegant than simple stand up, Olivia’s show is well thought through and artistic.”

-Entertainment Now

“Olivia’s storytelling is sharp and unflinchingly honest, offering a candid look at the realities of OCD beyond the clichés. Her ability to balance humour with the serious challenges of her disorder makes Unstuck more than just a comedy and really shows off Olivia’s skills.”
